Carol & Jake's Garden

My mom and I planted our garden today! First I had to get our our supplies.
Then, my dad helped us hang up some gutters to plant our herbs in.
My mom and I planted some yummy vegetables.
After I planted the seeds I had to make sure to give them enough water to drink. They're really thirsty.
I couldn't forget about the herbs!
Here's Carol & Jake's Garden...

Going Home!

On the way home we decided to go on Route 66 just like Lightning McQueen! We stopped at a place called POPS. It has a lot of pop to buy. But, I don't like pop, so I just got a juice.
Uncle Brian, did you know they have over 65 kinds of root beer!

After POPS we drove for a little bit and found this round barn so we stopped to look inside. It was built a long time ago. My mom said that Great Grandma Pearl and Great Grandpa Verton might have stopped at this barn when they were on Route 66.
After we stopped at the Round Barn I got bored and played my DS. But, mom took this picture to show where the Land Run of 1889 started. Grandpa Carl might think this was pretty cool.
We had a lot of fun in Oklahoma City, but I'm happy to be back home!

YEE HAW!

The next day we went to the National Cowboy Museum. There was lots of boring things that my mom and dad were looking at. But, they had a kids area that was pretty fun. Here's a picture of me and my dad pretending to get our dinner from our campfire.
They had a lot of cowboy clothes that kids could wear to be a real cowboy.

I could even sit on a saddle and pretend to ride a horse!
They had a little town too so we could see what it was like to live back in the olden days. Mom put Dad and I in jail for a little bit!
The Cowboy Museum was kinda boring and kinda fun.

Awesome Hotel

We finally got to the hotel to take a break. It was a really nice hotel! Our room was way up high. I even got my own room with my own couch that turned into a bed and my own TV! It was so awesome!
After we rested a little bit we went for a walk around our hotel. Here I am with a famous baseball catcher. Dad says it's Johnny Bench and he was born in Oklahoma City.
We walked past a sign for a radio station named after me! Cool!!!
Then, it was time to go back to the hotel to go swimming.
Here's a video of me swimming. I'm getting pretty good since I'm in swimming lessons.
Dad said that since we were on vacation we could order a "goodnight snack". I had to look at the menu to see what I wanted to order. I decided on a chocolate cookie!
There was a phone in Dad's bathroom. He ordered our goodnight snack from his bathroom...just because he could! My dad is so silly!
I had a lot of fun in our hotel room. I hope I get to stay there again.

A Trip to the Zoo

My family went on a little vacation to Oklahoma City. We first went to the zoo. We saw lots of animals like Buffaloes...
Bears...
Giraffes...
Grandpa Carl....How did Grandpa Carl's picture get in here?
There was also a really neat home for the elephants. We even got to see a baby elephant!
We had to walk up this long walkway and then we could look down to see the elephants and their home.
I had a great time at the zoo. But, my feet were so tired. I was ready to go to the hotel and take a break.

Orange Belt!

Today was my test to see if I was ready to bet my orange belt. First we had to show our teacher that we had correct form and knew some of the blocks and punches.
Then, we all had to go up to the teachers and answer some questions.
After we answered some questions our teachers wanted to see if we had enough courage to break a board. Here's a video of me breaking a board!

I even got to keep the board that I broke!
Then, Master Steefel said I passed my test and he gave me my orange belt.

I love karate. I've been practicing and working very hard to get my orange belt.
