Swimming at Joe's

Today we went to our friend Joe's house. He told us we could come swimming! I was so excited!
At first I was scared to jump off the diving board. But once I did it I wasn't scared anymore! I kept jumping,
and jumping
and jumping!
Then, I had to relax after all that jumping.
Here are two videos of me jumping of the diving board.

When we were all done I helped Joe clean the pool.
Thank you, Joe & Renee, for letting us come to your house. We had a lot of fun!

MayFest

We went to MayFest this weekend. It's a place to go to see lots of art and music. I was so starving when we got there so I got corn on the cob! I love corn!
They had a spot for kids to dig for fossils! It was great - I found a dinosaur tooth. A real life dinosaur tooth!
After we were walking and walking we saw Elvis! So, my dad and I got our picture taken with him. I don't know who Elvis is, but my mom said he's even cooler than Justin Bieber.
There was a whole street that people came and did sidewalk chalk. They used the same sidewalk chalk that I do!
After a while we walked down to the Center of the Universe. It's a neat place. If you stand in the middle it echos!
It was getting so hot, so my mom and dad let me run around in the fountain...with my clothes on! I got soaking wet!
Then, I tried to learn how to juggle...
walk on buckets,
and then I did my own sidewalk chalk art.
The Children's Hospital was there. They gave all the kids a little bear. I had to color my bear. I drew a mask on his face, a "S & B" on his tummy and a cape on his back. I named him Super Bear! Then, I took Super Bear to the hospital. I found out that he had a broken arm, so the nurse had to put a cast on it. I took his temperature too. The nice nurses even gave him a bottle to help make him all better.
What a fun day!

Rooster Days

Yesterday we went to the Rooster Days Parade in my town. It was kind of chilly when we got there so we brought our blankets, hats and hot chocolate to keep us warm.
I was so excited for the parade to start. First we saw the Indian Chief!
There were clowns, kids in karate class, and lots of old cars! There was also guys playing the bag pipes. They were cool!
But, then my favorite came...the marching band! I love to hear them play music. Most of all I like to see the snare drums. That's what I'm going to play when I get bigger.
My mom thought it was funny that I would march as the bands went by. I stopped when the drums went by because they're so cool and then I'd start marching again after the drums. Mom took a video of me doing this (Dad wants you all to watch for the silly lady marching at the end of the video!)
Parades are so much fun!

Easter in Iowa

While I was in Iowa I went to an Easter Egg Hunt. My Grandma Lou was the Easter Bunny! My cousin Tate was also there. We caught a lot of Easter Eggs - my basket was so full!

On Easter Sunday I went to church with my Grandpa Carl and Grandma Donna. Then, we went to eat dinner at my Great Uncle & Aunt's house. It was so fun! I saw my baby cousin, Hugo, and my Grandma Pearl! They hid eggs for me to find and they were full of candy! Uncle Brian moved one of the eggs and we all had a hard time finding the last egg...silly Brian!
I had a lot of fun in Iowa. I love seeing all my family.

The Farm!

(click on picture to make it bigger)

I have been learning all about the farm in school. When we went back to Iowa for Easter I asked my mom's best friend's mom if I could go see her farm. She said YES! (Her name is Carol, just like my mom's name). There were other kids that were my age that were also at the farm. We were best friends. I got to see the baby cows, the milking machine and their fun dog! When we were done seeing all the cows and playing games my friends and I had some John Deer fruit snacks! They were great!

I had a great time at the farm. Thank you, Carol, for letting me visit your farm!
